PENTAERYTHRITOL ESTERS

Rosin resin esterified with pentaerythritol.

Applications: They can be used as substitutes for aromatic or aliphatic hydrocarbon resins. They can also be applied to glues, hotmelt adhesives, and PSA adhesives.
Properties: Pentaerythritol esters have a low initial color and excellent adhesion. These tend to have a higher softening point than the rosin esters with glycerin. They have good resistance to yellowing and heat. Good compatibility with natural and synthetic rubbers. Soluble in esters, ethers, ketones, aromatic and aliphatic solvents.
