FSC Policy

Self-declaration
relating to FSC-POL-01-004
(Policy for Organizations to Associate with the FSC)

The RB Group is associated with the Forest Stewardship Council AC, Oaxaca, Mexico, or one of its subsidiaries or affiliates (hereinafter: FSC), either as a member or through a contractual relationship with the FSC. The RB Group hereby explicitly declares that it has read and understood the “Policy for Enterprise Association with the FSC” as published at www.fsc.org. This policy
This document establishes the FSC's position regarding unacceptable activities undertaken by businesses and individuals who are or wish to become FSC members, as well as the mechanism for their disaffiliation. In view of the above, the RB Group explicitly agrees, now and in the future, for as long as its relationship with the FSC exists, not to engage directly or indirectly in the following unacceptable activities:

  • Illegal logging or illegal trade in forest or timber products;
  • Violation of traditional and human rights in forestry operations;
  • Destruction of high-value conservation features in forestry operations;
  • Significant conversion of forests to plantations or non-forest use;
  • Introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations;
  • Violation of any of the ILO Conventions (ILO Core Conventions) as defined in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
