ROSIN (COLOPHONY)

Rosin is a natural and renewable product obtained from the distillation of gum resin from living pine trees.

Applications: Natural product with diverse applications. Used in the manufacture of synthetic resins, glues and adhesives, depilatory waxes, soaps, paints and varnishes, mortar and concrete.
Properties: Rosin is a yellow-amber colored solid. It is easily soluble in alcohols, ethers, esters, ketones, hydrocarbons, and aromatic solvents.
