MALEIC-MODIFIED ROSIN

Maleic resins are rosin resins modified with maleic anhydride and esterified with polyols.

Applications: Nitrocellulose-based paints, wood coatings, polyesters, PU, and synthetic enamels. Can be used for coating citrus fruits.
Properties: Maleic resins promote rapid drying, higher gloss, and good hardness. They improve wettability and adhesion, and are resistant to yellowing and heating. They are soluble in esters, ethers, ketones, aromatic and aliphatic solvents. Insoluble in alcoholic solvents.
